You won’t need to send the specific type of troops to battle to enable your commander to cast their active army skill, and there will be 5 commanders in total that can cast their active army skills. Q: Where do I check the improved battle mechanic?

A: You can check it out by clicking “Battle Record” in the battle report. Please note that the battle record will replace the old version, where you won’t be able to find them anymore.

Q: How to understand Lineups & Columns in the improved Battle Record?

A: Lineups and columns are here for you to better understand and analyze the battle.

Lineup: The troop of each type will be evenly split into 5 columns instead of 4. Each column will be divided into 4 line-ups determined by troop type and takes order from one of the commanders.

Column: The digit on the right (front) of each commander refers to the column. 

Q: What’s the biggest difference before and after the improvement?

A: There are mainly two big changes.

One is that the requirement as to casting Commander Active Army Skill is changed.

The number of commanders that are available for casting active skills, is increased from the previous 4 to 5. This means you don’t need to send the specific type of troops for the commander to cast their active army skill. For example, your Meranda can cast her active army skill “Marsh Ambush” even if you don’t take any spearman to the battle now.

The other is that the requirement as to when a commander is forced to leave battle is changed.

Previously, the commander has to leave the battle when the specific type of troops are annihilated. In the latest update, after the four lineups in the column in front of the commander are all annihilated, the column is defeated, and the commander can’t cast active the army skill and has to leave the battle.

For example, after all troops in column 1 in front of Melisandre are eliminated, Melisandre is disabled from casting her active army skill and has to leave the battle.

Q: Is there any change in casting damage in the new battle mechanic?

A: When confrontation, it’s 1 lineup VS 1 lineup. The dragon can cast damage on the five lineups of the same type of troops. 

Q: How to check the detailed battle record?

A: After the improvement, you can check the information of every second of the battle. By clicking on the exclamatory mark, you can learn quickly when and which commanders cast their active army skills. And you can check out what exactly the battle is going on every second by unfolding the details.

A: Yes.
